Pricing Assistant Manager / Manager role from a Life Insurer (Japan)
Job responsibilities
Following pricing tasks in developing new products (90%)
① Regulatory filing (50%)
- Include creation of assumptions and writing the actuarial memorandum.
② Obtaining new product approval from the company and HQ overseas (30%)
- Include creation of cashflow models using Excel/Prophet and profitability verifications using those models
- Include creation of PAR (Product Approval Report) in English.
- Include arrangement for reinsurance.
③ Systems validation (10%)
- Validate premium rates and policy reserves output by IT systems
Other (10%)
- Include responding to pricing-related questions from other departments, customers, and agents.
Through working on development of several new products that are differentiated from competitors by first-in-Japan features, you can acquire the high skill of problem-solving and grow as an actuary.
Requirements
- Experience in wealth management product pricing in life insurance company
- Excel, VBA, programming
- English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
- Associate or Student of Institution of Actuaries Japan or equivalent
- Strong Communication skill
