Actuarial Pricing Manager from a Life Insurer (Thailand)
About the job
- To provide actuarial expertise pertaining to product development and business development projects, including generation of product ideas, product design, profit testing, profitability analysis, participation in the product implementation Process and evaluation of business opportunities.
- To negotiate with reinsurer to get an effective reinsurance scheme as well as reinsurance statement and operation.
- To deal with management reports, Analysis and statistic reports.
- To supervise his / her subordinates to develop their talents and gain practical experiences.
- Continuous professional development through participation in professional external/internal management training.
Product Development
Perform product development of individual, group insurance and also covering for alternative distribution channel, pricing, profit testing, filing to OIC for both premium rate and policy wording, including preparing facility for new product implementation. Able to ensure the company’s profitability and marketability. Ensure below activities are completed with serve the expectative.
- Profit testing which can be ensured that the results are accurate and trustworthy.
- Develop premium rate that can ensure the company’s profitability & marketability.
- Pricing Assumption reviewing ( for new product without experiences )
- Cooperate for implementation process ex. AS/400 setting up.
Reinsurance
Negotiate any matter with reinsurance company and responsible for reinsurance administration in support of continuing operation i.e. preparing statement report to insurer, setting up and testing Life Asia system etc.
Subordinate management
Supervise his/her subordinates to develop their talents and gain practical experiences.
- Manage and follow up the team to finish the product development or reinsurance statement
- Verifying the profit testing which can be ensured that the results are accurate and trustworthy
- Providing the comments necessary related to the assigned tasks
- Coaching team for pricing actuarial knowledge
Actuarial Projects assigned by supervisor
Responsible for actuarial projects i.e. learning new jobs/knowledge to improve themselves, finding new method to improve department’s work flow.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of work experience with Actuarial Science
- 4+ years of work experience with Data Analysis
- 4+ years of work experience with Prophet
